The work
I have led design at MoneyHash since 2022. It is a payment orchestration platform for the Middle East and Africa, and it was the first of its kind in the region. I joined as the only designer and grew the practice into a team of five.
Payments is a hard place to make things feel simple. Most of the work here comes down to one thing: showing people what happened to their money, and why.
Four strands
Routing and dashboard
The canvas where merchants configure how payments move between providers, and the Intent page where they find out what happened to one that did not.
Checkout
The hosted checkout shoppers see, carrying each merchant’s own presentation without losing clarity at the moment of payment.
Dinero
The design system underneath all of it. Semantic tokens from the start, built to hold up across dense dashboards, two reading directions and both colour modes.
Website and brand
The launch website and the visual language that explains an infrastructure product to merchants and developers.
